Network Problems?
Besides having UPS units on your computers, also install one on the unit (switch/router) that is linking the pc’s and laptops.
Internet Browsing
Have different browsers installed on your pc to bypass specific browser attacks or compatibilities. Some other browsers: Firefox, Chrome.
Removal of unnecessary startup items
Click on Start, then on run (or on the open bar stating start search). Type msconfig and enter. Click on Startup.
Dead Computer?
If no burning smell, then first pull power cable out of box for about 5min, put back and try again.
Laptop Batteries
Use your laptop as much as possible with power, and take battery out. (extending battery life) When laptop does not want to come on, take battery out for a while and then try and run just from normal power.
